A compact, high-density material, epowood has been used since the 1970s by automotive design studios to create styling models. From Bertone to Pininfarina, it has enabled the greatest names in design to bring their visions to life.
The Porsche 911 Speedster 991 is based on the GT3, featuring a bespoke body and a distinctive double-bubble rear section that visually defines the rear end. Its lowered windscreen, sharper shoulder line and carbon-fibre aerodynamic elements create a lower, more compact and radical silhouette than a conventional 911 Cabriolet. The design focuses on purity and function: a carbon-fibre front bonnet, a bespoke tonneau cover and proportions directly inspired by Porsche’s historic Speedsters, while retaining the technical DNA of the 991 GT3.
