The Jaguar Type D, produced between 1954 and 1957, is an iconic race car designed for endurance racing. It stands out for its aerodynamic design, especially its rear fin and lightweight aluminum body. Equipped with a 3.4 or 3.8-liter inline-six engine, it generates up to 285 horsepower, allowing a top speed of over 270 km/h. The Type D features an innovative monocoque chassis and disc brakes, providing rigidity and performance. This car excelled at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with victories in 1955, 1956, and 1957, cementing its legacy in motorsport history.
